Our Story
But we can’t hide the truth that we are passionate that you might experience the love of Jesus like we have. He is more loving, gracious and powerful than we ever dreamt.
He is the love of our life, and we are confident that no one has or ever could love us as much as He does. And we know that He loves you in the same way.
We believe in the gospel of Jesus Christ and His power to save and transform anyone who would repent and believe in Him. Because repentance is required for everyone and anyone who wants to be saved, we don’t avoid honestly describing what The Bible teaches about repentance. We have orthodox and traditional Christian views. So we sincerely believe that the most loving thing we could ever do for someone is to point them to Jesus and show them how they could be saved.

We Exist
Welcome Movement exists to help people who experience sexual orientation and gender identity in a way that has made experiencing the love of Jesus confusing for them. We are compelled by the love of Jesus to help people find Him, experience His overwhelming love and join the family of believers who have been saved, healed and forgiven through His mercy and grace.
What We Do
We tap into thousands of experiences that our friends have had in learning to follow Jesus and receive healing from Him. We hope that these stories might help you in your own journey. As you watch some of our stories, it will become clear that we have no interest in forcing others to follow our path.
We are signatories to the Australian creed for Sexual Integrity.
We believe in one God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, who designed sex as part of His loving plan for humanity, and whose will for sexual integrity is clearly revealed in Holy Scripture.
We believe God created each person in His image as male or female, and any person’s attempt to deny or change this distorts God’s good design.
We believe God blesses sexual intimacy solely between a man and a woman within the holy covenant of marriage, a life-giving mystery that reflects Christ’s love for His church.
We believe God calls a husband and wife to be fruitful and multiply, that every life is sacred, and that children are precious to God and must be protected from sexualization.
We believe God calls all people to the joy of living a chaste life, by celibacy in singleness and faithfulness in marriage, and that His commands are given for the common good.
We believe sexual activities outside these bounds are sins which grieve God’s heart, injure others, and enslave people to idolatry.
We believe our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, that Christ calls and empowers us to repent from all sin, including sexual sin, that His mercy abounds to forgive and restore, and that by living with sexual integrity we glorify God and humbly embrace His wise and loving plan for human life.

Imagine the Spirit as an artist crafting a mosaic—each piece representing the Welcome Movement within God’s Kingdom. Drawing on the unique strengths of diverse church models, this mosaic honors contributions without rigid frameworks, creating a flexible, resilient community.
At its heart is discipleship: a journey into a transformative relationship with God that bridges cultural divides with grace. This model also opposes oppression, advocating for freedom guided by biblical wisdom, love, and humility.

The Resurrection
Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection has the power to save, heal and transform anyone and everyone!
Salvation
The normal process of becoming a Christian is to 'born again' which includes believing in Jesus, repenting of sin, being baptised in water and being filled with the Holy Spirit.
Love
No one has ever loved us as much as Jesus does. He was tortured to death to take our sins for us and died for us to express how much he loves us.
